Stock Forecasting Report
In Reporting > Reports open the report called Forecasting which allows you to forecast stock for sales and purchasing.
- Click Preview to open the report.
- Click on Add to Favourites to add this to your CRM menu for quick access in future.
- Click on Create Schedule to have the report automatically emailed (as a PDF, .xls or .csv file) to a list of recipients on a set schedule.
Report parameters
At the top of the report, you have a range of parameters you can adjust; when done, click the Submit button to generate the report.
Here is what each of the options means:
- Sales or Purchases: choose from the dropdown which purpose you’d like to run the report for.
- Period: this means the dates you’d like to run the forecast for i.e. the next year, 2 years, 6 months etc.
- Account: you can choose a specific customer or supplier from the list to run the report for. You can also leave the field ‘as is’ to run the report on all customers/suppliers.
- Product: you can choose a specific product from the list to run the report for. You can also leave the field ‘as is’ to run the report on all products.
- Months to review: how far back would you like to look into your sales/purchase history in order to generate the forecast i.e. look at the last 6 months, 12 months, 3 years etc.
If you want to clear your selections and start again, just click the Reset button.
Working with the report
If you want to hide the parameters area, just click on the clipboard with ‘?’.
You can quickly Print a copy of the report to a printer or to PDF.
Clicking on Save reveals a number of options you can export the data into.
Clicking on the binoculars opens up a search bar.
The magnifying glass gives you options to adjust the Zoom.
You can change the page view.
If the report has multiple pages, you can use the arrows to move back and forth.
