Customers and Suppliers in CRM
In CRM there are 2 areas for Companies and Contacts.
Customers
Live in Contacts and Companies on the Main Menu.
Records that will show in this area are ones that have the “I sell to this Company”, “I sell to this person” box ticked. These records will have sales functions enabled e.g. Quotes, Sales Orders, Invoices etc.
Note that records that do not have either box ticked for sale/purchase functions will also show in these areas of CRM.
Suppliers
Live in Supplier Companies and Supplier Contacts in the Inventory section.
Records that will show in this area are ones that have the “I buy from this Company” or “I buy from this person” box ticked. These records will have purchasing functions enabled e.g. Requests For Quote, Purchase Orders, Supplier Bills etc. and will also be able to be linked to a Product as a Supplier.
Information for MYOB customers
You can only have ONE box selected on a record – you cannot select both customer and supplier on a single record.
In the event that you have a customer that is also a supplier (or vice versa) you will need to create a second company record with the relevant functions enabled.
