Manufacturing Resources
You can add Resource Groups and Resources to your system to manage resources that you use for manufacturing in CRM – these could be tools, machines, rooms, areas etc.
When you create a Bill Of Material (BoM) you can create Production Steps and specify the use of a Resource Group that will be needed for the production process.
When you commence production using a Work Order, you can select the exact Resource that you will be using.
You can then schedule and track your use of Resources during production.
You can create and manage the Resource Groups and Resources in your system from Admin > Settings > My Company > Resources.
Resource Groups
Access these from Admin > Settings > My Company > Resource Groups.
These are high-level groups that you can add any number of Resources to – just click on the New Group button.
The example below shows ‘Ovens’ as a resource as they will be used to manufacture a range of Products.
If you tick the Show On Calendar box, it means that where Calendar View is available, the Resource Group will be made visible there.

Resources
Access these from Admin > Settings > My Company > Resources.
You can create any number of Resources and associate them with Resource Groups. Just click on the New Resource button to create a new Resource.
The example below shows a number of ovens that are all linked to the ‘Ovens’ Resource Group.
- If you tick the Show On Calendar box, it means that where Calendar View is available, the Resource will be made visible there.
If you tick the Show In Time Tracker box it means that the Resource will be available in the Time Tracker integration.
