Contact Roles
On Contacts there is a field that allows you to nominate people for specific purposes – Contact Roles.
The options you can select here are:
- Invoice – when you opt to automate the sending of Invoices or send them in bulk, anyone with this role will be a nominated recipient of invoice emails.
- Statement – when sending statements to customers, the person with this role will be the nominated recipient of statement emails. Note that if there is no Contact with a Contact Role of Statement, then an email will get sent to the Company email address.
- Shipment – if you opt to automate shipment confirmations to be sent by email when an Outbound Shipment is marked as “shipped”, the person with this role will be the nominated recipient of shipment confirmation emails.
A Contact can have multiple roles applied.
