Creating Contacts and Companies inline

You can quickly create new Contact and/or Company records at the same time you are creating new records e.g. Opportunities, Projects, Bookings, Quotes etc.

If the Contact and/or Company you need doesn’t already exist in CRM, you can create them inline:

  • Type in a name and CRM will perform a lookup to see if there is a match for an existing record; if there isn’t a match, CRM will offer to create the record for you – just click on the dropdown option that is displayed to add a new record.

  • A blue “New” indicator will confirm that CRM will create a new record for you.
  • Key fields for the new record will also be displayed so that you can fill in additional information to be added to the new record.

  • Once you have clicked on Save & Close at the top of the form, the new record will be created and if applicable, a new Contact and/or Company record will also be made.
  • Where you are creating a Contact and a Company, the records will be linked together so that the Contact is automatically parented by the Company.
